Pocahaunted - Make It Real

Not Not Fun Records
Released: March 12th, 2010

I've got to say LA, and specifically the label Not Not Fun, have been churning out some great music in the past couple years. I've always thought that LA was just cock-rock and bands trying to "make it". So it's a pleasure to see kids with too much free time, art school degrees and their parent's money making some legitimate music. LA will reach a Williamsburg status if it continues to produce this level of amazing zoned-out, lo-fi, psyche-soul.

Pocahaunted's Make It Real is their first album in a couple years. The two lead singers are great at singing off each other. This is by far they strongest trait of the band. Their voices ebb and flow through-out the psychedelic-funk and lo-fi garage-rock music. The best songs are by far "Touch You" and "Make it Real" which are the first two tracks. The title track is by far the grooviest and most fun song on the album.
